Third-person shooter RPG Xociety is inviting players to dive into a limited-time, action-packed experience and compete for a share of lucrative rewards.
Running from January 18 to 21, the playtest allows participants to compete for cryptocurrency rewards and in-game assets whilst exploring Xociety. The event includes a global server setup, free participation, and structured reward systems for both casual and competitive players.
With two daily sessions providing a total of six hours of gameplay, participants can engage in activities like leaderboards, farming, and daily check-ins.
What is Xociety?
Xociety is a third-person shooter RPG that combines PvP and PvE mechanics. The game is built on the Sui blockchain and features a play-to-earn model where players can earn cryptocurrency and in-game assets through their activities.
Backed by industry players such as Krafton, Hashed, and Spartan, Xociety aims to create an accessible and competitive gaming experience enhanced by blockchain technology.
During gameplay, participants take on roles in a futuristic setting, competing in missions and challenges to earn NTx tokens, Xociety Corporate Shares (XCS), and other rewards. The game features a global server infrastructure, allowing access for players in Asia, Europe, North America, and South America.
What can we expect from the playtest?
The Spotlight Playtest offers four days of free access to the game, with two daily sessions running from 1 AM to 4 AM UTC and 1 PM to 4 PM UTC.
Players can engage in various in-game activities to earn rewards, with a total prize pool of 1 million NTx tokens, 1,500 XCS, and $5,000 in cryptocurrency. Key activities include:
- Leaderboards: Players who extract the most NTx tokens by the end of the playtest will share 500 $SUI tokens, with the top three players receiving 250, 150, and 100 $SUI, respectively.
- Purge Event: Rewards are distributed based on kill counts, with a total of 300,000 NTx tokens allocated. A raffle system determines winners if the number of participants exceeds the available rewards at any level.
- NTx Farming Play: A total of 600,000 NTx tokens are available for farming through in-game activities, with most rewards distributed daily.
- Daily Check-In: Logging in and playing daily provides players with NTx tokens and XCS draw tickets tied to in-game achievements.
NFT holders gain access to exclusive leaderboards and additional rewards, such as collaboration NFTs and double farming rewards for staked avatars.
Participation in the Spotlight Playtest is free and open to all players. To join, participants need to download the game through the HyperPlay web3-native game store. The launcher is required to install and play Xociety on Windows.
