What is Azuki?

Azuki is a collection of 10,000 unique NFTs created by Chiru Labs, and it has quickly become one of the most notable NFT projects within the digital art and blockchain spaces.

Each Azuki NFT is a digital collectible, hosted on the Ethereum blockchain, featuring a distinct art style and design that blends anime-inspired themes with traditional streetwear aesthetics.

Azuki’s popularity stems not only from its artwork but also from its strong community engagement and its positioning as part of a broader trend in digital art and collectibles. Additionally, Azuki has extended its influence with related web3 projects, such as Beanz, Azuki Elementals and Anime.com, further expanding its ecosystem.

What do we know about the TCG so far?

At present, there is little detailed information available regarding how the trading card game will function. The game is expected to be released before the end of 2025, but no specific timeline has been set.

One of the major points of interest is whether Azuki’s existing NFTs will be incorporated into the game, possibly as playable cards or in-game assets. However, the team has not confirmed this, leaving the community to speculate about the potential integration of Azuki’s digital artwork into the TCG format.

The community are particularly curious about how the game might leverage the unique style and narrative elements that have become synonymous with the Azuki brand.
