Tap-to-earn heavyweight Hamster Kombat has announced that Season 2 will commence in just a few weeks, with a major overhaul to the game experience.
Season 2 will see players shift away from managing a crypto exchange to managing a game development studio – featuring a redesigned interface, a renovated list of tasks, and all-new ways for players to engage with the game.
The developers have also announced that a second airdrop will take place in summer 2025 – though the exact details of this forthcoming airdrop have yet to be revealed.

What’s new in Hamster Kombat Season 2?
Season 2 of the telegram game Hamster Kombat takes players into the world of game development, introducing game creation as the central theme. Players will choose genres, themes, and other options to create their games. Some tasks will be quick and easy, whilst some may take days to complete.
Introduced in Season 2 is the team management mechanic. Players will need to hire team members to develop their games, with effective management being key to achieving the best results.
The core tapping gameplay is retained, though these new mechanics add a level of complexity that hopes to give the game an edge over its rivals, and revitalise the playerbase after mixed reactions to their first airdrop.

What’s coming in 2025?
Hamster Kombat was initially released in March 2024, with the initial airdrop taking place in September 2024, and Season 2 set to commence in October 2024.
Prior to the start of Season 2, players can continue to earn Diamonds during the current Interlude Season. These Diamonds will be carried over once Season 2 commences, allowing players to get a head-start on the competition.
As with Season 1, players are expecting a large number of updates and improvements before the second airdrop in summer 2025 – though it remains to be seen whether the game will retain the heights of its original player count now the first airdrop has been completed.
