HYTOPIA has launched its alpha version, giving players an initial look at its community-driven gaming platform.
The release allows users to log in, explore available games, and interact with others. Whilst still in an early testing phase, the platform includes core functionalities to assess its infrastructure and gather player feedback.
Although key features remain under development, the alpha release provides insight into how HYTOPIA operates and what players can expect in the future.

What to expect in Alpha release?
The current version of HYTOPIA includes basic features focused on account creation, game discovery, and multiplayer functionality. Players can:
- Register and log in, including claiming pre-registered usernames
- Browse available games, see how many players are active, and connect to regional servers
- Add friends, view their online status, and join their sessions
- Play community-created games, including those submitted during a recent game jam
This version does not yet include some planned features, such as:
- HYTOPIA Marketplace for trading in-game assets
- Locker System for storing and managing digital items
- Token integrations for additional functionality within the ecosystem
The primary goal of the alpha is to test the platform’s stability and improve gameplay mechanics before adding these features. Currently, alpha access is only available on desktop devices (PC, Mac, Linux) with mobile support expected in future updates.

What’s next to HYTOPIA?
Originally developed as NFT Worlds, HYTOPIA pivoted to an independent game engine following Minecraft’s 2022 ban on blockchain integration. The team has since built its own ecosystem, designed to support player-created content and blockchain-based features.
The alpha version represents the first opportunity for users to experience this new platform and the team intends to collect player feedback to refine existing features and address technical issues. Future updates are planned for improving user experience, expanding platform capabilities, and integrating blockchain elements.
With the alpha now live, HYTOPIA continues to develop towards its full release with more updates—including mobile support and additional platform features—expected in the coming months.
