MetalCore, the highly anticipated open-world mech shooter on Immutable, is preparing for the launch of Closed Beta 3.0, an update expected to bring a host of enhancements and new features.
Building on the success of previous beta versions, this iteration is set to introduce social hubs, a fresh leaderboard reward system, and an all-new map.
The MetalCore team have also been teasing the upcoming launch of their $MCG token, which is purportedly an ecosystem token for the game. Details on a token launch date, or the requirements needed to receive an initial allocation of the token have yet to be revealed.
New features and enhancements
Closed Beta 3.0 will introduce Session PvP Scenarios, where players will compete in modes such as Domination, Capture the Flag, and High Value Target with specified timeframes and objectives.
The update will also include Faction War PvE missions, which will require faction members to work together to secure objectives in a high-octane, conflict-rich environment.
The introduction of faction-based Social Hubs will provide designated areas for players of different factions to gather and interact, whilst the new Vehicle Loadouts system will allow players to customize their vehicles according to their preferences.
MetalCore will also expand with the addition of a new map zone – Starslope Station.
New leaderboard reward system
Closed Beta 3.0 will debut a new Leaderboard Reward System, offering incentives based on player rankings. Higher-ranked players will receive a larger share of the reward pool.
The update also focuses on improving stability and performance, reducing crashes, and ensuring consistent gameplay with enhanced sound effects to enrich the overall gaming experience.
The official release date for Closed Beta 3.0 has not yet been announced yet. Players are encouraged to pre-register via the MetalCore website, and to follow MetalCore on X for the latest updates.
