Web3 mobile basketball title Rumble Kong League has launched Season 1 of its Ground Zero closed beta test, available exclusively for RKL Rookie and Rumble Kong NFT holders, running from August 21-28.
Participants in this play-to-earn closed beta will be rewarded with $FAME points, which will be converted in the soon-to-launch $FAME token at an unspecified point in the future.
The launch of Season 1 introduces many new gameplay mechanics, including new Special Abilities, maps, the addition of adaptive difficulty modes, and more.
What is Rumble Kong League?
Rumble Kong League is a 3v3 play-to-earn basketball title, available on iOS and Android.
The game revolves around the 10,000-piece Rumble Kong NFT collection, with each of these Ethereum-based avatars playable to holders in-game, all with unique features, traits and in-game boosts.
The competitive side to Rumble Kong League features 10 ranked divisions, each with 30 clubs. Each club must recruit and manage their roster of Kongs, before engaging in head-to-head 3v3 matchups to climb up the ladder.
Those that climb the competitive ladder will be rewarded with $FAME points, a selection of tokens, and exclusive in-game rewards.
What is new in this Closed Beta?
The Rumble Kong League Ground Zero closed beta test introduces 4 new special abilities to the game. Tackle and Force Shield are two new defensive abilities that have been added, while Super Dunk and Rush Hour provide more strategic options in offence.
The new beach court, Athlos, allows players to experience with the new adaptive difficulty setting – AI opponents that study how you play and attempt to give you an equal challenge.
Through participating in the closed beta test, players will earn an in-game currency that allows them to purchase reward bags. These bags will contain in-game rewards, as well as $FAME points – representing an allocation of the soon-to-launch $FAME token.
To spurn user-generated content for the game, the team have launched the Rumble Kong Creator Contest – rewarding the top 3 most creative tweets about the game with $500 USD, $200 USD and $50 USD prizes respectively.
