Web3 co-op looter shooter The Desolation has entered open beta, with guaranteed rewards available for the first 50,000 players.
Built on Immutable, and available on both PC and mobile, The Desolation sees players team up to take on waves of enemies, gathering loot to upgrade their characters along the way.
The open beta introduces upgrades to the in-game economy, improvements to the game’s balance, and the addition of an array of new customization options. The first 50,000 players to take part in the open beta will receive an exclusive Platinum Box, filled with in-game items, as a thank you.
What is The Desolation?
The Desolation is a co-op looter shooter, built on Immutable, and available on PC and mobile.
Developed by Stratosphere Games, the game sees cohorts of players team up to take on endless waves of enemies. These enemies drop loot, used to upgrade player characters and their weapons.
The open beta also sees the introduction of a new crafting system, allowing players to utilise the loot and materials they gather to further upgrade and modify their weapons before the next dungeon – with a brand-new Floating Fortress dungeon to explore.
The open beta also marks the start of Season 12, titled The Shielded Season, with a raft of new enemies to fight and rewards to discover.
What will the first 50,000 players receive?
The first 50,000 players of the open beta will receive a Platinum Box. This will contain a range of powerful in-game items, such as the Mythic Mjolnir Weapon Launcher and Metal Rhino Suit. Holders will also have a small chance at acquiring 1 of 5 Mythic Winter Wolf suits.
In addition to these exclusive rewards, the open beta will feature an array of new in-game events. These events will give players a range of boosts to their XP, as well as dive deeper into some of the new features present in the open beta.
