Angelic, a web3 sci-fi strategy RPG developed by Metaverse Game Studios, has revealed that its long-awaited Open Alpha will launch on August 6.
Marking the first time Angelic will be available to the public, the Alpha will introduce several new gameplay features, alongside a variety of exciting quests and rewards.
A series of Angelic’s partners will also have a presence in the Alpha, including blockchain infrastructure firms Saga, Aethir and CARV, and web3 grand strategy title Blocklords.
What is Angelic?
Created by a team of ex-League of Legends, Far Cry and Diablo developers, Angelic is a narrative-driven web3 turn-based strategy title.
Players take the role of a unique hero commanding the stealth ship Osiris, roaming the galaxy to face a variety of sci-fi enemies across an dark, expansive universe. By collaborating with friends, sharing builds and improving your strategic nous, players can take on evermore challenging opponents in the fight for survival.
Angelic offers both an immersive single-player campaign and multiplayer modes, where you can join with friends to traverse the darkness beyond.
NCOIN serves as the in-game currency, used to purchase cosmetic skins, upgrade and enhance heroes, crew members, ships and more.
Plans are in action to create a fungible Angelverse token, allowing players to join the Council of Angels DAO to govern the game’s future. Further information on this token and its anticipated launch is expected to be announced via Angelic’s social media accounts in the near future.
Who can participate in Angelic’s Open Alpha?
From August 6, the Angelic Open Alpha will be available to everyone, with no pre-registration required.
Currently, Angelic is only available on PC – but there are plans to expand to both next-gen consoles and mobile devices in future.
