Web3 MMORPG Ember Sword has entered Early Access, enabling its on-chain system and allowing players to earn NFT rewards for the first time.
Players can now explore the world of Thanabus, explore a variety of themed areas and challenge their skills in both PVP and PVE combat for both in-game and on-chain rewards.
The Early Access of Ember Sword began at 12 UTC on December 2, with the phase set to continue until the game is ready to enter an official release.
What is Ember Sword?
Ember Sword is a free-to-play web3 MMORPG, built on Ethereum Layer-2 Mantle, and available on PC.
Developed by Bright Star Studios – who describe the title as a “social sandbox MMO” – the game sees players dive into the world of Thanabus, going on quests and facing both creatures and other players in combat for glory.
The game features intricate skill and crafting systems – supported by $EMBER, the game’s ecosystem token – with this Early Access phase following a Closed Beta that began in July 2024.
What is available in Ember Sword’s Early Access?
The Early Access allows players to explore a slice of the world of Thanabus, with the area of Solarwood accessible from day 1.
Six areas of Solarwood are available to explore; The Capital, Millweat, North Dalland, Witwood Quarry, Espire Plains and Sunrift. Each area either features areas to shop, trade and relax – or PVP and PVE challenges for solo players and groups to take on.
New areas and experiences are set to debut as the Early Access continues, alongside utility for Ember Sword’s existing Land NFTs. These are set to allow holders to build experiences on their plots to earn an amount of $EMBER tokens.
