Popular Web3 real-time strategy game Wild Forest has revealed its roadmap for Q1 2025, with new game modes, features, and units on the way.
Four new game modes are set to be introduced over this period, with PvE, Expeditions, Private Battles and Tournaments all set to make their debut. This will give players a huge variety of new content to enjoy – both with and against other players, and in single-player scenarios.
Other items expected to arrive in Q1 2025 include leaderboard fixes, additional opportunities for $WF rewards, and new ways to mint in-game units using the $WF token.

What is Wild Forest?
Wild Forest is a card-based real-time strategy Web3 game, built on Ronin, and available on both PC and mobile.
Developed by Zillion Whales, players engage in 1-on-1 PvP battles, sending units to the battlefield to destroy the enemy base whilst protecting their own. With a huge array of units, perks, maps and more, the strategic possibilities are endless – meaning only the most shrewd players will climb the leaderboards to succeed.
Wild Forest enters 2025 coming off the back of a strong 2024, which saw the game be downloaded over 300,000 times, with over 44 million battles having been conducted by players so far.
The game is powered by the $WF token. This token is rewarded for victories and high leaderboard positions, and is also set to be used in the minting of new units, skins and more. As of writing, $WF is priced at $0.035 USD, with a market cap just shy of $2 million USD, and a fully-diluted valuation of over $35 million USD.

What is coming to Wild Forest in Q1 2025?
Alongside the debut of four new game modes and an array of adjustments and improvements to existing features, Q1 2025 will see more new content enter the Wild Forest universe.
January 17 will see the arrival of Inker, a new unit that’s a hard counter for flying units. Inker units can be minted using 20 Unit Fragments – though it is currently unknown exactly what abilities the unit will have. Those who wish to acquire Inker without minting costs will be able to do so, with Inker being added as a Battle Pass reward starting January 27.
To help power new unit minting, Lord NFT holders will see a change to Unit Fragment redemption that will allow them to mint both the Inker, and other new units that are added in future. On top of this, Unit Minting will now be opened to all players, with a $WF fee charged for its use. This gives the $WF token more utility, and should serve to decrease supply and increase scarcity.
