Team-based sports brawler game Sparkball is making its official debut with the kick-off of Season Zero, starting today, November 21.
Season Zero will give many excited fans their first chance to try the game, working their way through a number of events over the coming months to both build their skills, and gather FAME points.
Interested players can pre-register via the Sparkball website, with the game to be made available to download on Steam once Season Zero commences.

What is Sparkball?
Sparkball is a 4v4 sports-based brawler title, available on PC, and built on the Monad blockchain.
Developed by Opti Games, players select a hero from a diverse roster and team up to score goals against the opposing team. With gameplay that’s been described as League of Legends meets Rocket League, players will be looking to fire an accurate shot one moment, then pummelling their opponents to the ground in the next.
This Season Zero phase is available exclusive on PC, though the full release of the game is expected to be made available on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 in mid-2025.

How does Sparkball Season Zero work?
Season Zero of Sparkball is split into three distinct phases:
- November 21 to January 13: Tryouts – playable events that focus on building Sparkball-specific skills
- January 13 to January 21: Training Camp – leaderboards go live, and the Target Practice gauntlet opens
- January 21 to February 3: Compete – global servers go live, with MMR leaderboards and trophies to win
By playing throughout Season Zero, players will acquire FAME, a point-based in-game currency. Though details remain sparse, rumours suggest that these points could translate into an allocation of a future token release.
Players can also acquire Silver and Gold Badges through gameplay, which can be redeemed for additional FAME points – and players are being encouraged to collect as many FAME points as they can.
