Popular blockchain game Axie Infinity has released the Axie Adoption Center, a brand-new way for players to acquire Axies for free.
Designed for new players, the Axie Adoption Center allows players to acquire delegated Axies – starter characters that are available to all beginning players. By completing missions and earning points, these delegated Axies can be turned into regular Axies that players can interact with like any other.
The Axie Adoption Center is now live, with new players able to obtain their delegated Axies from startup.
What is Axie Infinity?
Launched in March 2018, Axie Infinity is a monster-based combat game. Players acquire NFT creatures called Axies, creating a team and training their skills to go into battle against others.
$SLP tokens are rewarded through play. This token can be traded for $AXS, or used to breed more Axies. These Axies can also be used for farming tasks, collecting resources and boosting their abilities.
Axie Infinity exploded in popularity throughout 2021 and early 2022, due to the income that could be generated. Some players even used Axie Infinity as their main source of income, prior to the $SLP price crash in February 2022.
How does the Axie Adoption Center work?
New players can connect their Ronin wallet to the Adoption Center website. The Axie Adoption Center is only available to players who have no existing Axies in their wallet.
By joining the Axie Discord, an Axie Care Specialist will help to guide new players in acquiring their team of delegated Axies.
From then on, players must complete a variety of tasks and missions to increase their points total. If the player is able to reach 1,000 points inside a 30-day period, these delegated Axies will become permanent Axies.
Sky Mavis have launched three contests alongside the launch of the Axie Adoption Center, focused on player referrals, educational content, and a raffle – with thousands of $AXS available in prizes.
